Sparverius

Meet our newest red blend and the bird that inspired it. We’re thrilled to introduce Sparverius — a wine that gives back.

Named after the American Kestrel (Falco sparverius), this bold and earthy red is our ode to wild skies, open landscapes, and the fierce beauty of birds that call the Rockies home. With notes of black currant, raspberry, and mountain earth, Sparverius is as vibrant and untamed as its namesake.

Sweetness: dry

Notes: black currant, raspberry, leather

Serve: room temperature

Pair with: hearty or spicy fare, including beef stroganoff, Mongolian beef, and Thai dishes

Audubon Rockies is the regional office of the National Audubon Society for Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. Using science, outreach, and policy, we holistically address the core threats facing birds in the Rockies region. Birds are powerful indicators of our planet’s health, acting as sentinels that warn us of environmental change and inspire action. We are an inclusive, nonpartisan conservation organization that collaborates with diverse stakeholders to find solutions that better birds and communities. We believe that where birds thrive, people prosper. As American ecologist Dr. Thomas Lovejoy once said, “If you take care of birds, you take care of most of the environmental problems of the world.
