Talon is a Familiar Face in Southwestern Colorado

Visiting Southwestern Colorado this spring and summer? We're making sure there will be no lack of great Talon wines to greet you when you arrive at this outdoors paradise.

In Pagosa Springs, for example, you can find us in 19 establishments! We've enjoyed a warm welcome in Cortez, where where we dominate the town at the gateway to Mesa Verde. The Farmhouse features our Pinot Grigio by the glass.

Down the road in Durango, the Bookcase & Barber speakeasy  features honey wines from Meadery of the Rockies in their custom cocktails. Little Dolores continues to grow placements and we are appearing in Ouray, Montrose and Gunnison. Acme Liquors in Crested Butte is also on board with Talon Wine Brands.

Colorado is a big state, but we at Talon are reaching out to its many communities. We believe we are unique among Colorado wineries with our ability and desire to share the JOY of wine throughout the state, and beyond.

Talon in the News

Meadery of the Rockies Strawberry Honey Wine was spotlighted in Colorado Life Magazine last month as one of the most romantic wines around. On FOX31 KDVR,  our Strawberry Honey Wine was also featured (pictured below). Legendary Denver restaurateur Frank Bonanno hosted a recent "Chef Driven" episode on PBS visiting the Meadery and tasting our honey wines. Tasting Notes: The "Winter Whites"

As winter draws to a close, wine drinkers are turning to lighter, more refreshing wines. Here are ones you can enjoy now.

Meadery of the Rockies
Medium Sweet
Honey Wine

This honey wine was a hit with the Wyoming Liquor Division and they're featuring it on their portal for Wyoming businesses to order. See the recipe at left for the "Green Bee" honey wine cocktail created for St. Patrick's Day!

St. Kathryn Cellars

Golden Pear

With a tang that balances its natural sweetness, Golden Pear is a perfect "pearing" with cheeses, fish and fowl, and mixes well with other spirits for a wine cocktail. Try equal parts of Golden Pear and champagne or prosecco. Garnish with a pear slice and mint sprig.

Talon Winery

Pinot Grigio

Talon’s Pinot Grigio has a firm structure built with balanced acidity and a slight sweetness. It's a universally appealing wine that reaches out and  speaks to everybody. Maybe that's why it's our best selling white wine!

Featured Fudge

What better fudge to savor during St. Patrick's month than Mint Chocolate Swirl! Taste and enjoy this fresh treat at our tasting rooms during the month of March.
